The hotel is located on a 38-acre site atop a tree-clad hill, close to the town of Paro, which is one of the main cultural centres of Bhutan. It is also where the nation's only airport is located, with flights to Bangkok, Calcutta, Delhi, Dhaka and Kathmandu.Transfer Time - 10 mins from Paro Airport
Rooms
There are 20 rooms and 9 villas all incredibly stylish with a blend of modern lines and indigenous Bhutanese designs such as hand painted wall designs, carved wooden windows and intricate doors. The superior rooms overlook pine forests. If budget allows, upgrade to a deluxe room or suite which have spectacular views over the Paro Valley.
Food
The Cuisine is largely organic using local produce grown in the surrounding valleys. Expect lights and modern with a Bhutanese twist seved at the Bukhari restaurant set among tall pine trees. Try Bhutanese favourites such as "Bathup" a hearty soup with handmade noodles. The Uma Paro var also serves light meals and snacks.
Fitness and Daily Activities
Your package includes outdoor activities that will take you outside in the clean, unpolluted air walking or mountain biking. We recommend that you attend a daily yoga class at the yoga studio overlooking the Paro Valley for the breathtaking views and deep spiritual experience. Between May and September there is a weekly yoga walk that starts with a meditative walk and ends with yoga in the outdoor landscape. Spectacular!
