Signature Treatment

Full Hamman Ritual  A steam in the ornate domed hamman is followed by a body scrub with a loofah and a vigorous full body massage whilst you lie on a heated marble bed.  This authentic Middle Eastern treatment will expel toxins, boost blood circulation and exfoliate, leaving you with glowing skin and deep muscle relaxation.

We Love

  • The Li'tya treatments that are based on ancient Aboriginal rituals and medicinal practices that span back 40,000 years.  The experience is holistic and works on a mind, body and soul level that will leave you wanting to find out more about this fascinating path to wellness.
  • The Thermae Experience treatment which is one of the best hydrotherapy and heat circuits we have come across.  It includes 5 different heat rooms (steams and saunas) all at different temperatures and a frigidarium (ice grotto).  You are guided around each section in a certain order to achieve the best detoxifying and muscle relaxing results.  Don't underestimate this as a treatment in its own right - you will see the difference when you lay down in the relaxation room at the end.

It was a fantastic holiday and so glad I did it. Loved all the treatments and beatiful sorroundings. Felt very safe.
Excellent

1. Arrangements for collection and drop off for personal traveller
2. Checking in and friendly staff
3. Details left in the Room for introduction meet and greets.
4. Spa was brilliant because I was on the activity week I could use whenever I wanted so this was brilliant. Reception and staff made me feel very welcome
5. Accomodated changes to my programme really easily
6. Mountain biking brilliant (Gekko sports I think - very professional company), tennis fab and very good coaches
7. Spa stunning, hotel lovel and therapists exception ( i believe they have laid off a few which is a shame)
8. Hotel is very expensive and always pushing services and to charge things to room - think they are just looking for business (they need to drop prices though)
Could improve

1. Some sort of drinks night or welcome meeting for all single travellers in hotel or on activity spa break
2. Hotel and Spa quite disconnected - like two seperate businesses
3. Wouldn't really recommend the horse riding really - but that was me.
4. No pilates classes on or any other classes???
5. Would recommend they have two personal trainers and offer a woman to those clients who feel more comfortable with that.
6. Restaurants and shop around site quite expensive and limiting. But nice just to walk somewhere with no car so brilliant and completely safe - quite difficult to each on your own in them so i didn't try. Ate  breakfast and lunch at Spa and that was it
So all in all brilliant holiday! I even recommended my boss and she had brilliant time last week in Crete. So maybe that one for me next time!!

I have recently returned from a week at the Aphrodite Hills resort with a friend. We were lucky enough to book a package at the resort spa and had an excellent week, returning relaxed and well.

In particular, the daily Personal Trainer sessions with Timmi (Efthymios Kambanellis) were an inspiration to me. I am not a regular gym or fitness fan, so was sceptical about the value of these sessions when we originally booked them. However Timmi is a committed and professional trainer, who readily adapted his approach to encourage me and get the best results for me. At the end of the week, I could tell that my exercises had strengthened my core, taking a lot of strain away from my back and I had lost 4kg, by following a sensible diet and exercising. I am so delighted with these results, and found that Timmi's enthusiasm for his discipline was infectious. I would happily recommend him to anyone considering a stay at the resort.

I also had a very therapeutic massage from Loukia, who had trained in South Africa and was a confident medical masseuse. The spa treatment was well explained to us by Claudia, who was also a professional and helpful therapist in the spa.
My only comment would be to consider some form of heating for the pool towards the end of the season, as it was pretty cold when I took the plunge!

Please pass on my comments to anyone that may be thinking about working with Timmi and please ensure that he is there for my next visit!

A simple summary would be: WORTH EVERY PENNY!

Amazing double room overlooking golf course at Intercontinental hotel, daily housekeeping, felt safe travelling as a single woman. 1/2 board provided excellent breakfast and dinner buffet meals -lots to suit me trying to be healthy (fresh fruit, fish, meats). My 5 day fitness programme at the SPA (3 mins walk from the hotel) was superb - real luxury (wearing white robes, slippers, relaxation music, candles etc!) Timis the personal trainer was a true professional and I deffinately lost weight and feel fitter in just 1 week - book some personal training sessions with Timis and you won't be dissapointed - then use the Spa facilites afterwards for the rest of the day as a reward for working out! An infinity pool and over 16's only was my idea of heaven...I'm already wanting to go back to do the same next year. This holiday would take a lot of beating - not a cloud in the sky and fitness and pampering all in one - bliss! I booked it all through Wellbeing Escapes. This is a good way to spend your money on a reward for yourself - and get a tan to be proud of!

Transfers: Excellent on arrival. Somewhat delayed from time given on return but all fine.

Hotel: Lovely hotel. Staff (particularly in the restaurant) helpful and pleasant. Service good (although cleaning in the room wasn't quite up to scratch eg: sheets with holes in, certain towels, flannels not replaced, floor not hovered, items missing in the room eg: room service menu, feedback forms - and had to ask for them).

Weekend of my stay was 'cataclysmos' ie bank holiday Monday. When I return I will certainly plan to miss this weekend. The hotel was invaded by Cypriots (2 local weddings) and I believe went from 150 room occupancy to 750+. It was not pleasant - and felt as if the hotel went from 5 star to 3+ star - particularly in the behaviour of the guests. At breakfast it was total bedlam. I felt really sorry for the staff in the restaurant who were totally snowed under whilst trying to serve the regular guests. Long long queues at reception or the concierge desk - and getting sunbed looked to be extremely difficult. I took room service for dinner that evening (advised by hotel staff in the restaurant) - but rather objected to having to do this and pay extra for it! However:

The Spa: was to die for. So friendly and helpful. Lovely facilities and I spent most of my time there. Lovely pool, peaceful, no children. Such a pleasant retreat over the weekend! Treatments lovely, and activities great.

Great holiday, met some nice people - And plan to book more.

The resort, Spa and hotel came highly recommended and I was not disappointed, quite the opposite in fact. I dont normally do summer holidays, my main focus being skiing holidays, so I approached the week with some scepticism; but my reservations were quickly dispelled and I can without reservation confirm the recommendation I recieved. The hotel is first class and lived up to its five star rating fully, I arrived after a rather gruelling journey via Gatwick (travelling first Monday of summer school holidays on Easyjet was not the best decision I have ever made), I was relaxing from the minute I stepped out of the departure lounge to be greeted by personal transport and I was particularly impressed with the golf buggy transport from reception to my room. The room was excellent and very well appointed in all respects, an enormous and comfortable bed and a very well appointed and stocked bathroom.
The Spa was excellent in all respects, George was very helpful and retailored my program to fit my requirements and past injuries. Timi is an excellent fitness instructor, I can compare him against many in my experience and he is without doubt one of the best. He knows just how hard to work you and knows how to work around injury issues (knee surgery, a crushed disc and a recently dislocated shoulder in my case) and still get the most value out of the physical development piece. Despite very hard workouts all week I didnt have a single ache, muscle pull or stiffness that evening or the following day for the whole week. The massages were all of the highest quality and the staff were always willing to alter my appointments to fit any changes in my plans, my back has not felt in such good order for almost 20 years. The Spa is a great place to relax, so much better than the maelstrom of children (none allowed in the Spa and long may it continue) around the pool which I happily passed twice daily going to and from my room, glad that I had somewhere quiet to go. I can also recommend the Juice Bar for lunch and if like me you can not manage without coffee, the Costa is just around the corner from the Spa - the Espresso Frescato with an extra shot is just what you need after a gym session with Timi.. Finally the hotel in the evening was very pleasent, I did not sample many of the restaurants available, but the Chicken Ceaser in the lounge bar is excellent as is the humidour selection. The view from the Sunset Bar as the sun goes down over the Med is stunning and I can strongly recommend the Mojitos, Brandy Sours, Belinis and well you get the picture. I hope you enjoy it, I will certainly be going back.

19th June - travelled late May.

From my arrival and pick up at the Aiport everthing was well organised.
My intial consultation with George, Director at the Spa was in depth and a programme of 5 days training with Timmi and some additional treatments was organised and met my needs and timetabled to give me spasce to myself during the day for the pool and going to the beach.

The personal training from Timmi was measured so as not to put me off but extended to push me a bit further. It was really well explained and included power plate , which I hadn;t used before and I also came away with a programme for at home.

The Spa and treatments were some of the best I have come across in the world - both hammam ritual and experiences and recommended massages. The Spa facilities were just glorious and spacious and staff welcoming and helpful.

Similarly the hotel staff were welcoming and attentive particularly since I was a solo traveller. Occasionaly there was a breakdown about my healthy half board option with the chef but it was always resolved.

I was content to have a quiet time however the bars were very quiet in the evening and there was little chance for me to meet up with other guests travelling on their own .
Also i think the bar prices put people off.

I have to say I hated the Paphos trip on the Sat night to the port. I think the hotel needs to warn guests that most of the normal shops are closed on a Sat night , the level of restaurants and bars in the port area is bottom end and just how far it is to travel into the old town, esp alone.

Nevertheless the hotel service and facilities are first class. i would thoroughly recommend the hotel and spa and hope to return next year.

Firstly, I would like to say that my collection from the airport and reception on my arrival was very good and the hotel was excellent. I love pristine bathrooms and my room met all of my expectations.
Overall, I was very impressed with the whole resort and even though I am not a golfer, I could see how well the course had been developed to provide a number of challenges to the visiting players.
Of course the spa was fantastic and although the interview and organisation of my activities was protracted and confusing, they eventually got it right. My worry would be that as I was the only guest participating that week, what would have happened, if several people had turned up at once. There was also a lot of confusion about getting me to the stables and back as they only had one car capable of travelling the rough road and there were other guests wanting to go elsewhere. In any event, it was sorted out.
Slight disappointments were that it was out of season" and much of the village as well as other restaurants in the hotel were closed plus of course the weather was pretty wet. They said it hadn't been like that for 10 years but they said that the last time I travelled to Cyprus at Easter and it certainly wasn't 10 years ago!!
I guess had I not taken that particular week, then the price would have been much higher so overall I would say that I received very good value for money given all the activities I was able to participate in.

Travelled April 09

The people at the spa were without exception great and a lot of effort was made to make the most appropriate programme for me, so I ended up having an hour of personal training each morning at 10am with Timi - he concentrated on Pilates-type exercises with some 'Power-plate' work, which was new to me and interesting as I didn't know what to expect. This was time well spent and undoubtedly helped my recovery. Likewise, the spa treatments concentrated on muscle-relaxing massages and wraps with the thermae experiences to help my sore muscles. I did go over the alloted number of 'free' treatments but I certainly can't complain about the cost of the additional ones as it was much less than I had expected. All the treatments (3 massages, 2 wraps, 2 thermae experiences, in total) were exceptionally good but the Ma'ala mai (I'm not sure this is the correct spelling; it's one of the Australian Aboriginal-style treatments and was extra to the 'programme') light mud wrap followed by a full body massage and also the shiatsu full body massage, which replaced the sports massage, were absolutely outstanding. Both were from a young Bulgarian masseuse called Galina whom I would recommend to anyone going to the spa. The other masseuses were very good but, for me, she was truly exceptional in terms of being able to gauge exactly the place for and amount of pressure to use in both the Swedish-style and Shiatsu massages. By the end of the week I was walking with no pain and very little of the discomfort that usually built up over a day just from moving about. Certainly finishing with the Shiatsu on my last evening was a good decision.
The hotel staff were also very good and I certainly enjoyed my stay there. The situation of the hotel above the 'ravine' which spilts the Aphrodite Hills development and the dramatic golf course is quite amazing. The low value of the pound against the euro means that eating in the hotel is rather expensive but the quality is good and the restaurants in 'The Village Square' adjacent to the hotel are pretty similarly priced.
