Firstly, a big thank you to everyone at Wellbeing escapes for organising my six night stay.
Anouska was fantastic, and dealt with all my mundane queries, i.e. how long would it take me to swim ashore if I needed to escape, and would they search my bags for contraband on the way in. For the record I got through with 1 bottle of gin and enough cans of tonic to last the week!
I was definately a Spa virgin, and was dragged along by my two daughters, largely so I could pick up the bill.
The place was absolutely breathtakingly beautiful, and arriving by speedboat a great way to start our visit.
The treatments were great and very relaxing. Felt a bit 'massaged out' by day four, but was definately a plus having our treatments included. I would not even consider staying there if it was on a bed and breakfast basis. The cost of treatments was astronomical, with a basic 50 mins facial costing £150 or more. I had one on my last day. All the prices are subject to 18% tax and service so it really bumps everything up.
The food was fantastic. Really enjoyed it, didn't feel deprived, and still haven't had any red meat and I've been back 2 weeks. In fact only had chicken once since I came home.
Although you have a consultation on arrival with one of the wellness consultants and they recommend classes to go to etc. basically you can do as little or as much as you like. My eldest daughter went to the gym and did yoga classes etc, every day ,whereas I probably have the distinction of being the only person to stay there for 7 days without ever finding the gym or attend a single activity. I sat by my private pool, looking at the ocean and reading books, having to leave my villa for occasional treatments or meals.
The only real downside to the place is that it is so boring at night. You have dinner and thats it. There really is nothing to do. Not even any tv s or daily newspapers. My butler told me they don't have wi fi in villas because it fries your brains. Did tell him it was too late for mine.
So a big thank you again, for what (against my expectations) was a great trip.

It was fantastic!! the resort is amazing .. all the vegetation is edible so it smells amazing in the resort
they have bycicles for you to go around as distances can be big. also there are golf cars passing all the time to take you around. The butler was amazing always taking care of us.
The beach is not amazing.. nice but the water was not very clear and the beach had lots of rocks etc.. they do not even have a lot of chairs in the beach.. most of the people spend their days in their private villas in the pool. Mine was very good as no one could see into my villa and i could see the sea from the pool.
The food was amazing.. super healthy. we did a 3 day detox so did not really eat at the restaurants. the raw food restaurant had amazing food. all very health oriented.
The spa was amazing.. huge with a pavalion for china/ india/ thailand/ indonesia ... they had herbal shops and a tea house.. really amazing
Yoga was fantastic because there was a teacher there teaching the local employees... she will stay there the month of november. they should have classes every day but only have 4 times a week. i joined the class where she tought the employees which were fantastic. am not sure how yoga will be when the local employees will teach ...
