There are 100 junior suites and 11 suites which are simple but refined with bedroom, living room, terrace and bathroom. As the resort is constructed of low-lying architecture, the suites are spread out in blocks throughout the property so have views over the magnificent gardens, the swimming pool or sea views.

Food is a big feature at Vilalara which has 2 restaurants and a bar which are set in a prime position with awesome cliff-side views overlooking the Atlantic - breakfast on the terrace there can go on for hours as your are mesmerized by the sunlight on the ocean.

The B&G Restaurant offers a menu of reinvented Portuguese cuisine, serving innovative dishes with an emphasis on local, quality produce. Or for those looking for something lighter you can have the already famous Dietetic menus of fresh, low-calorie recipes - eat a 3 course gourmet meal all for under 400 calories!!. The Terrace Grill, located on the ground floor offers a wide range of dishes during the day and with nature as its backdrop, it offers themed evening meals, traditional "churrasco” barbecues and night time musical entertainment. Fitness and Daily Activities

The essence of fitness at Vilalara is water based - they have a large sea-water pool with an ocean view, 2 regular swimming pools and a small natural sea-water pool that is heated to 28oC all year round. In addition they have 4 tennis courts, table-tennis and a fitness room.

In terms of daily activities they offer daily group fitness and activity classes, from Hatha yoga, Aqua yoga, guided cliff top walks, Aqua aeorobics, beach gym, Tai Chi, Power stretching.

Other Activities

Vilalara has discount agreement with 11 of the best golf clubs in the Algarve and will organise bookings. On neighbouring beaches you can windsurf, waterski, parasail, sail or simply hire pedal boats and canoes. They can also arrange horse riding or cultural excursions to discover the Algarve.

Signature Treatment

Seaweed Therapy With seaweed containing all the vitamins and minerals necessary for life, it is a total body tonic to have layers of heated seaweed applied to the skin and then be wrapped in an electric blanket to allow these essential elements to penetrate the skin.  Good for combating tiredness, painful joints, skin problems and weightloss.  It might not smell so good, but the results are worth it.

• The Jet Shower - think of being hosed down with a big fireman's hose!  This powerful high impact jet of seawater has a precise routine (the therapists are very skilled with their aim) which improves circulation, releases tight muscles, helps increase metabolism and leaves you tingling all over.
