Holiday insider tips
Wellness Approach
- A truly extensive holistic and complementary approach that justifies the "Wellness Santuary" tag. The holistic medical experts are impressive - qualified naturopaths, homeopaths, traditional chinese doctors, nutritionists and a Conventional Medical doctor that can conduct diagnostic testing and deal with current conditions on a physical, mental and emotional level. Its not all serious - luxurious holistic treatments from massages, facials, body wraps are available.
Freestyle Spa
- Herbal Steam Cavern situated high on the hilll with its own waterfall and 3 plunge pools all at different temperatures. Magnificent views of the ocean. Quiet and relaxation areas dotted around the Wellness Sanctuary with comfortable beds and couches.
Signature Treatment
Chi Nei Tsang. A uniquely Thai treatment which in short is a powerful abdominal massage. Based on the Taoist theory that the gut is the second brain of the body and where disease starts and emotional blockages are held. The therapist will firmly massage the major organs to unravel energy blockages and promote circulation. Very good for digestive problems and for people who hold their emotions inside. Slightly uncomfortable but hugely beneficial!
We Love
- The views of the lush vegetation and the ocean from the Wellness Sanctuary and many of the open air treatment salas of the vegetation. Truly magical and calming
- The master that is Dr Song, the Traditional Chinese Medical Doctor. Through Chinese massage and acupuncture he can cure aches and pains that you thought you couldn't get rid of.
- Kamalaya's nurturing environment. No preaching or strict rules, but guidance and support to help you lead a healthier and happier lifestyle.
Return on Investment
Glowing & Renewed.
Holiday reviews and comments
8th May 2009 | By Steward Oades - Doncaster
Travelled March 09
I wanted to pass on my thanks for arranging our holiday to Kamalaya- it turned out to be everything you promised- and more. The attached letter to the team at Kamalaya says it all. Would you be kind enough to forward it to them.
Our break in Thailand was the first time we had travelled outside of Europe for 8 years, primarily because of Janets dietary needs. As a result we were slightly apprehensive about whether you would be able to meet our requirements despite assurances from the team when we had first booked.
In reality we had no reason to have such concerns. Your staff were all very well briefed regarding Janets needs and willingly went about ensuring she was able to relax with the knowledge that her juices and food would be prepared to her needs-with a smile. Wut, Pla, Jan and Anan were all superb and we would ask you to pass on our thanks .What was so pleasant was to see that your team genuinely wanted to make sure our holiday was such a great experience and they went out of their way to ensure it was.
Whilst the resort itself is a superb facility that it would be impossible to improve upon, the holiday was made by the warmth and generosity of spirit of the people you employ at Kamalaya. Everyone went out of their way to make us feel welcome, comfortable and well informed. Doctor, nurse and naturopaths Joanne and Isabella were all extremely supportive and caring and went the extra mile in ensuring Janets ear infection was quickly treated. The quality of treatments was excellent and we really couldnt get enough of them. The catering staff, gardeners- even the construction and maintenance crews all were equally committed to keeping the atmosphere positive.
We thoroughly enjoyed the various events you put on which were informative and meant we kept ourselves very busy. You do however need to add a health warning to the stretching class- being double-jointed would be a minimum qualification!
A class Janet particularly enjoyed was the vegetable carving with Kun Oy who was so patient and modest about her skills. Janet has bought her a vegetable carving book as a thankyou which she has posted to her.
All in-all it was a superb breakand we will most definitely be back dragging our grown up kids with us next February.
